We are excited to announce an internal opportunity for the position of Driver within our Warehouse Team. This role offers a chance to grow within the company and contribute in new ways.
Job Purpose
As a Driver, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of stock items while maintaining the integrity of the goods in transit.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver stock to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
- Review invoices before and after deliveries to ensure order accuracy and accountability for stock.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow delivery schedules.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
- Ensure all payments and documentation received from customers are handed to administration upon return.
- Never leave the vehicle unattended while out on delivery.
- Wear company-provided uniform and safety gear at all times; no jewelry or cultural bands allowed while delivering to clients.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition, ensuring fuel and lubricants are adequately stocked.
- Assist with cleaning and inspecting the vehicle before and after deliveries.
- Report any vehicle issues or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor or Management immediately.
- Comply with all road traffic rules and regulations, including speed limits and seatbelt usage.
- Assist the driver assistant in loading and off-loading stock at customer locations.
- Represent the company in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner.
- Complete stock return notes and provide valid reasons for any stock returned by customers.
- Document and log work periods, kilometers driven, and retain fuel and toll receipts for submission to administration.
- Do not make unauthorized stops for personal use or employee requests unless authorized by the Managing Director.
- Support team members and assist in other roles as required by management.
- Refrain from using cell phones while driving or in the factory during working hours.
- Adhere to Cash in Transit policy and procedures.
- Comply with company policies, legal guidelines, and food safety standards.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment within company facilities.
- Follow timekeeping and attendance procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: NQF Level 4 – Grade 12 (Mathematics essential)
- License: Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license and PDP, with a clean driving record
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year driving experience preferred
- Languages: Fluency in English and Afrikaans required; an additional ethnic language is an advantage
- Skills:

- Strong customer service orientation
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
- Familiarity with industrial equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
